An uplifting stroll along Yosemite’s high road

February is a big birthday month for our family and close friends. This year, the birthday wish was to snow camp. I amended that vision to winter camping, and let the snow campers carry on according to their own terms. But the intersection points were especially wonderful, in a wintery sort of way.

We camped outside of the park and entered with a day pass secured by reservation in advance. Then, we drove up to the Badger Pass parking area which is on the road to Glacier Point. Even though skiing is closed (due to COVID), the location is still ideal for setting off on a snow hike or excursion.
